The BULLY

Our class was great. But things turned upside down when Martin Mackenzie arrived. Martin was loud, rude and had a bad temper. You never knew what mifht make him angry, so it was best to keep out of his way. Heb was dislike. I smiled as I headed to the car park after school. I was safe from Martin for the holidays. I turned and Martin grinning at me. " What are you talking about?" I asked. "Don't your mum tell you?" Martin said. "I'm stayong with you for the next two weeks." Mum wouldn't change her mind, and on Monday showed up.I nearly fell over. This wasn't the Martin I knew. Wait until we're alone, I thought. Then his good manners will disappear, and hell be horrible again. I was right! As soon as Mum was gone, Martin turned mean. He took over everything, and there was nothing I could do about it. It was going to be a long two weeks...
He consulted mother about the friend. I look at Mum. " I feel sorry for him," I said. "But he's still horrible. After that, he happily became a friend. We invited my whole class to a party. Then, I presented the 'nice Martin'. He was very polite, and made lots of new friends that night. Martin often reminds me that I was the first friend he made. And I'll always be the best.

Venus Bay

Holly sat in the back seat of the car. She was thinking about her brother jake, as Dad drove the family to Venus Bay. Jake used to be so easy to get along with. But lately, Holly had seen a side of him she didn't like. When Holly tried to tell him she was't weak, he wouldn't listen. "Don't get upset, Holly," Jake would say. " It's a simple fact. Just get used to it." Well, Holly would show Jake he was wrong today. But, things didn't work out that way. " Give up, Holly!" Jake yelled as he paddled out to catch another wave. " You're not strong enough to stand up and ride." She turned to watch her brother come riding in on the next wave.Jake had fallen off his board before the wave reached Holly.Holly knew something was wrong when Jake's board came tumbling past her. She took a deep breath and dived beneath the surface, searching for Jake. And she helped him. And two people happily became it.
